This works so well for my five-pound chihuahua. He is half bald and pretty skinny so he does not do well in the Colorado winters. So, he has quite the wardrobe and I'm always looking for new things to keep him warm. And this did not disappoint. It's easy to get on and I can still fit his harness around it, so it stays put when we are out for a walk. Having something like this makes it possible to take him out during the colder months. And he's so cute in it that he gets lots of compliments and people even stopping to pet him. I will get a photo the next time we are out.The only bad thing is that for a chihuahua, he is hard to fit. He's skinny, but long, so clothes are usually either long enough but big around the middle, or fit around the middle and not quite long enough. I realize they can't make clothes that fit every breed perfectly, so be sure to measure your dog to find the closest size. I find it's easier to get the size that's a bit bigger and just sew it up in the middle to make it fit a bit better. I did that with other pieces and wish I had done it with this one. It's not so short that you really notice, but it does slide down a bit after he has it on for a while. I also have to roll up the back leg parts because his legs are short and it would get caught under his paws and probably come off if I didn't. Not a big deal and I'll probably just hem it at some point.Overall, I'm very happy with it as it appears to be very comfortable for him. He has no problem running around when he has this on so it doesn't impede his movement at all. He's also happy sleeping in it after a long walk if we are still outside or somewhere he doesn't have a blanket. Also, the inside is soft so that part is also comfortable for him. That's really important because he has absolutely no fur on his belly so I want to be sure the clothes I put on him aren't rubbing his skin and irritating it. Mostly, it keeps him from shivering when I take him out so for that I love it. It appears to be well made and has already been washed a couple of times with no loss in the size and no pilling. Definitely recommend.My male chi just loves it. And does not pee on it due to the style clearing. Very difficult to fine anything which does this for a male dog. I took it down at start because it doesn't have a leash attachment or button type hole so I can use her vest's leash attachment. This is a pretty big flaw for me as my dogs use seat belts and their necks are too fragile to attach a leash to their collars.
