We have a petite female pug. Based on the sizing chart, we ordered the medium size of the "TRUKSFIT" harness. It fits but is on the snug side -- neck opening is fine but the velco closure barely fits without being too tight. Thus, I would suggest ordering one size larger.This step-in harness appears to be made well and was accurately described in the listing. The material is soft and sewn well. No rough edges or scratchy areas. The only downside is the material is non-breathable polyester rather than cotton. However, the underside mesh does provide air flow and added comfort when worn. The outside fabric pattern is vibrant and the flamingo/flower theme is great!The closure system consists of a sturdy velcro closure on the backside that is then further secured with a plastic clasp/buckle. Lastly, a lead can then be attached to 2 D-rings for maximum security. The design works well and we are able to easily attach and remove the harness. Unlike some harness designs, our squirmy pug is not able to slip out of this "TRUKSPET" harness.The leash/lead is thick and sturdy. The metal clasp easily attaches to the harness D-rings. As an added safety feature, the leash clasp includes a sliding metal barrel to lock the clasp hinge and prevent it from accidentally opening. The only odd thing about the leash/lead is that matching flamingo pattern is on the inside of the handle loop (rather than the outside), making it not readily visible. Oh well.Based on a fitment test and initial walk around the neighborhood, I recommend this step-in harness for smaller breed dogs.I followed size chart and it definitely Runs a tad bit small. Fortunately it still fits but on the top is Velcro and my dogs chest is too large to even use it. Overall it’s good quality and I can easily remove the Velcro for a more comfortable fit for my dog! I definitely would recommend!I wanted to love this but it was just kind of oddly shaped for my dog’s body. The design is super cute and I like that it comes in a matching harness/leash set, but the design just didn’t do well with my dog’s body drame.I always get smalls for my cats, but the sellers measurements indicated that I would need medium. That was way too big. The one cat slipped out of it pretty easy because it’s so loose around the shoulder. I could stick both hands between it. I wish I had just ordered the small size like I always do. This is a bummer. They are made really well too. So I would recommend them! And yes they do work for cats you just need to order small. ?I have a 12-15 LB Maltipoo & Havapoo — they both normally wear a true US Medium but I'm finding a lot of stuff I buy them from Amazon is super super small - like for a 3-5lb toy; even larges will fit like an XS.So, this time, I went with a large and it fits them PERFECT. The harness is easy to get on/off, mine just step in, and I velcro the top.This is normally the style I always buy.The material is thick & durable and that's good.I would definitely buy these the next time I need a new set.So when i saw this i ovbiously got the xl one thinking it would fit my fur baby and i was greatly mistaking.This is like for a medium sized dog, i have a golden and there is no way this was an XLMaterial wise it feels pretty good the leash is ok but defintely not for big breed dogsI have two Boston Terriers. I bought the black harnesses with the orange and red pipping. The harnesses are so cute and I was so excited to put them on my dogs. I had to decide between the large and extra large when ordering because of one of my dog’s extra layers of seal blubber around his cute face. Well I ordered the large and it doesn’t fit around his rolls. Lol. No fault of the seller since the sizing chart is right there. I thought it would work but it didn’t. Still think the product is great. The material is soft and because it closes by Velcro, there is some wiggle room around the body
