The training leash features a single floating handle and two connections, one on either end. You can connect to the front and back of the harness simultaneously or just the back. The leash is approximately 3' long when connected to the front and back. The leash is in the same two tone colors and webbing as the harness. The harness is extremely effective for training and minimizes the effect of pulling for several reasons: (1) tightening effect of the loop on the harness, (2) the location of the loop, (3) the reconfigurable design that allows you to attach to only the back or to the front and back of the harness simultaneously.

We have a medium harness for my 50 lb dog and a small harness for my 35 lb dog. The harnesses fit both dogs relatively well, though the chest straps on both dogs are too long. I like the velvet belly strap because it keeps the clasps from slipping, so I don't have to retighten the harness often (which was a big problem on our last harness). This is not some miracle harness though - my dogs both pull the same amount they did on other front clip harnesses. They were never horrible pullers to begin with, so maybe I didn't see as much improvement as other people because of that, but they do still tend to walk with a tight lead on these harnesses. I like the flexibility to clip to either their front or back, but don't understand why only the back clip is on a martingale. I would much prefer the front clip were a martingale as well. One of my dogs is a bit sensitive about things going over her head (we have an Ruffwear harness that I really like, but she hates because it has a relatively small head opening) and she much prefers this harness over others we've tried since the opening to go over her head is pretty large. Though I think there are improvements that could be made to this harness, it's still my go-to for both of my dogs.I got the leash with the medium sized package and only used it a few times. It's much less comfortable than my other leash (cheap $9 leash, but has a padded handle and is double thick nylon so it feels much stronger). The handle of this leash is not padded and the second clip, while handy occasionally, is kind of annoying when you want to use the leash at full length.
