There are $10 cheaper ones, but I think this is of very high quality and worth the tiny investment. If you spent a lot for your paddle, you will kick yourself for not having something like this. The fact that the "slack" is collected in a coil is the best part. I'm clumsy and would continuously hit a cord if it was strewn about the cockpit. The wrist strap is comfortable (although I haven't gotten my wrist all that wet yet, so I don't know if it's comfortable when wet) and it doesn't get loose. The strap that connects to the paddle is also of great quality. I see no downside to this product. It even comes with a bag! AND a carabiner!PROS+high qualitycomfortableeffective with clumsy paddlers (this girl right here)comes with a bagSTAYS OUT OF YOUR WAY!CONS-price, but ehh, worth ittiny parts of it are wrapped in this cheap looking tape material and it will most likely come off a few years into use - not a big dealI love this paddle leash! The coil is sturdy while keeping extra slack tidy. It is nice to be able to attach this either to my wrist or directly to a lashpoint on my Sevylor Rio Inflatable Canoe/Kayak. The carrying case is a nice touch, and I just attached the carabiner to the large mesh duffel that holds all my canoe/kayak gear.UPDATE: Don't use a paddle leash in whitewater! Someone suggested I not use one in those situations, and I found out why recently. I took a spill on the Wolf River a few weeks ago, and I almost drowned because the paddle leash allowed my paddle and boat to wrap around each side of me as I tried to swim to shore. However, for flat water, I still love this paddle leash. So much better than the others on the market.I bought this paddle leash to secure my paddle when I go out in my sea kayak. I like to take pictures and I am always worried I am going to lose my paddle. You can attach one end to your rigging (which is what I do) or you can put it on your wrist. I found that if I attached it to the center of the rigging on my kayak, it did not get in the way. The price is very reasonable compared to its competitors. The coil keeps it out of your way. Comes with a nifty little bag and carabiner. This is sturdy, compact, and has an excellent reach. The carrying pouch w/clip was a nice bonus.Been using for about a year and it works great. Strong Velcro and long enough to give me full range of motion.I bought this for a paddle board paddle. Long enough not to get in your way and stayed secure to the paddle and my wrist. Happy with the purchase. Its a great little paddle leash and got here on time as promised. Used it a few weeks ago without issue. Great.Super item good price hope it works good and prevent loss of paddle
