I have a field line chocolate lab who's always insanely full of energy. Sometimes structured walks just don't wear her down enough for me to even take a breather lol she's currently 5 months old and almost 40 pounds and super fast. This line allows me to either let her safely explore the backyard (will be fenced in soon, but the lack of the fence was my main reason I bought this) as well as work on distance commands and obedience. I also use it at the dog park because she's stubborn and there's a few rare times where she doesn't obey the callback. So this leash keeps her tethered to me while also allowing her the space to have fun. It's lightweight but surprisingly strong. I was afraid at first that 3/4 inch width would surely snap under the pressure of her suddenly testing the length of the rope (the handle is amazing at keeping my hands from getting "leash burn" and isn't too bulky or uncomfortable to handle). Sometimes, I get distracted and forget to move with her as she's exploring the ends of the leash lol but this leash was honestly the best thing I've ever bought for her. I'm thinking of also getting the 50ft one later on when we begin working on harder distance commands and obedience. I've only had this leash for a week or so but it's been put through the ringer and its still going strong. It's been dragged through mud, peed on, accidentally dragged through fresh poop, caught on the porch steps, wrapped around a rough tree trunk, and rubbed against countless things that would've otherwise ripped a normal leash to shreds. All I've done is rinse it off and let it air dry and it's good as new. No frays, rips, remaining stains, and best of all, no breakaways from my pup snapping the metal clasp when she occasionally jerks at the end of the length.The customer service was amazing as well. The owners of LeashBoss personally emailed me to let me know the leash had been sent, offered to answer any questions I might have, and gave me a few tips as well for using the leash (like not letting Piper go running off to test the length of the line at her breakneck speed--a rule that's still being learned because she's super fast so if I'm not paying attention, she occasionally gets to the end of the line and gets clotheslined by her own collar...oops!). All-in-all, this leash is nothing short of amazing. I've been recommending this leash to all of Piper's classmates in puppy kindergarten and agility classes.UPDATE: I bought this leash a year ago. I use it almost every day. The leash gets dragged over grass, dirt, cement and asphalt. It was starting to fray and I was concerned it would tear completely while walking my dog. I emailed Leash Boss to request a replacement leash per their warranty and sent pictures of the frayed leash. I emailed on a Saturday and within two hours I received a response stating the leash would be replaced! I received the new leash within three days. I am a customer for life!I bought a 20 foot orange leash. I like the handle, it has a good grip. I bought orange because it's easy to see when the dog is in a grassy area. Someone in another review mentioned that the leash gets dirty, but what you expect when a dog is running around in fields, and mud, and through water? I put the leash in the washing machine and it cleans up perfectly. But don't put it in the dryer because the metal will bang the inside of your dryer. My only complaint is that I have a small dog and this leash is more hefty than I need. Also the hardware is bigger than I need. It would be nice if they made a version of this for smaller dogs. But overall I'm happy with the product.We have a chocolate lab puppy who is growing quickly and this is by far his or our favorite leash! I'm ashamed to say we have 5 different leashes and we've only had him a month! We have went a little crazy on buying him things :) This 30 ft leash is our favorite because we can put this on him and let him openly play fetch without worries of having to run with him/choke him,etc. It gives him room to play and still gives us the peace of mind that our new little guy won't be able to run away. We have been also just putting this leash on him and letting him follow us around the yard, knowing if he starts to stray we have 30 whole feet to have time to grab it and make sure he doesn't run down towards the road or the neighbors. He likes it so much better than being on a tie-out because it's lightweight for him to drag around and also he gets that "free" feeling all dogs need :) Especially until our little guy learns to not wander out of the yard and to listen when called, I'm sure this leash will continue to be our favorite! He loves to be where we are, so this lets him follow us and lets us be able to get more done without a barking dog on a tie out because we walked away from his sight! lol also - he is teething and quite the chewer right now - he has chewed on this leash and handle a decent bit and it hasn't seem to harm it at all so far. We try to keep him from chewing it so it stays nice and the quality upholds, but anyone whose had a puppy knows that's just not something easily done all the time! Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend for many reasons and scenarios!My dislike is it can cause rope burn or nylon burn. It tangles. There’s nothing that I like about it
