This leash and running zipper pouch is great for hikes and runs with your pup! The reason why I gave this leash a 4 star is because it is pretty thin but it has 2 handles so you have a little more support. The belt band is a great addition for those hikers and runners who like to be hands free. The belt band has a zipper pouch too which is great for your keys, wallet, or phone. It does not hold that much though! Maybe a few treats would be great to keep on the go for your pup!We love the bungy leash, and loops to fasten to the pouch belt, poop bag folder. The setup would be perfect IF the treat/reward pocket had a little wider more accessible opening. I want to reward my puppy for good behavior but find it a bit difficult to unzip and pull out the pocket to I can grab a treat.Almost perfect.I really like this leash, because it gives me the ability to leash train my dog without putting so much strain on my risk because of the bungee part. And the handles allow me to switch between teaching him to walk directly beside me with no slack, and then testing his obedience with the longer leash. The zipper pouch is also super convenient for poop bags and treats!This really is a nice set-up. My husband does longer walks through large parks with our dog and sometimes he would like to have his hands free. He does not run, but he likes to walk briskly with the dog and to hike. This has a nice pouch that works for a few treats or for the car key/key ring and a bit of cash or other small items. It really is a handy set up. Our dog is small at 17 pounds but this lead was plenty fine for him and it all works well.I got this for a friend from work and she loves it. Her one dog loves to pull and its far more comfortable to walk them now. Not to mention being hands free!Leash:The leash part of it is essentially separate and clips on both ends - the waistband end and the dog collar/harness end. There are 2 handles on the leash, one close to your waistband, the other next to the dog collar end. The middle section can be a bit bungie-like and stretch when your pup pulls. It does come back though and it doesn't stretch very much, so no dog-escapees here.Waistband:The zipper area on the waistband has enough room for larger treats and poop bags, or a cellphone. The treat pouch will only really fit small treats but that's enough on a walk. There is a D-ring that the leash attaches to, and the plastic buckle that holds the waistband around your body snaps in with a secure-sounding click. No amount of pulling from our pup has caused any of the points to fray or come undone.We've taken our pup all around the place and on many walks and runs with nothing coming apart and no escapes. I think this will be very useful for anyone that has to walk a dog.I own another hands-free leash, and I like this one because it stays in place while wearing it. My other leash just has a belt that can spin around your body as the dog moves around you. I've e trained my dog to go behind me when she wants to change from walking on the left or the right. So the other belt spins on my body. But this one stays moe in place due to the pouch's design, which my other one does not have. I like the ouch design to hold my key, bags, phone (when I don't have pockets), and chapstick. This one is great!I love using this so I can be hands-free on our walks most days. The leash is very sturdy and durable long enough for him to have some space but not too long love the handle grips on the leash part so you can hold it comfortably goes around the waist and fits snug but comfortable highly recommend if you want to be hands-free on your walk great value for the money.
