Large is a great size for a German ShepherdI’ve always preferred this type of leash, because more comfortable for my hands and bones. This one is an excellent representative of the type. No other kind of leash is as comfortable to wrap around your hand when you need to shorten, and the stretchiness is perfect when squirrels attack. I wish they could slim down the hardware.snapped when my 50 lb dog pulled...Live my new leash- I can’t wait to use it!It was great! Used it through 9 weeks of obedience training! To my dismay it broke after 14 months. :(I might just buy it again hoping it lasts longer.Thought i'd treat myself after using cheaper nylon rope leads that used poor chromed hitching points and loops that where just heat joined with plastic covers over them. Over the last couple of years i've had loops break without warning , hitching clips rust and jam and enough was enough. The leather on this looks to be a good grade and thickness with a solid looking brass hitch clip , with no plastic covers anywhere to hide poor joints and i think I'm going to get many years of service from this lead and it looks good. I walk 2 GSD on this with a splitter lead so both dogs are on the same lead neither are pullers but they do like to lead ahead , (as dog owners you with know what i mean).I bought this lead for walking my German Shepard dog. It is to narrow and dosen’t feel like it could hold my dog if she was to pull hard for very long. Because it is to narrow it is not as comfortable to hold as it should be.I would happily pay more for a wider stronger lead. It seems impossible to find a long wider lead it needs to be at least 2.5cm wide. Very disappointing ?☹️Lovely leather lead, also, as leads go, it's stylish! It's longer than usual leads which was perfect for walking our 9 month old german shepherd puppy around the streets on holiday in the UK lately.Really solid item. Strong clip and the leather is good quality. I use this with a check chain in dog training classes with a very exciteable collie/staffie cross and it holds up well. Easy to grip. Recommended.Very disappointed, cheap metal clasp, k9 military GSD dog leads should have brass fittings, an assumption on my part. Looking for an ordinary dog lead at the higher price end than this is the product
