I use this on my 13lb Jack-a-wah wah. She chews thru these leashes but this one has lasted. The 16ft length is great for my maniac.The thought of it was great, and we loved the poop bag holder on the bottom. We bought the one that was supposed to hold 110 lb of tension for our 23 lb Maltipoo. The tape line constantly gets mis-wrapped inside the leash when retracting, or twists onto itself. After 7 weeks, it no longer will retract and we cannot pull the line out. It is not locked by the button on the top. The issue is inside the leash. We went back to a Flexi leash that we have had for 12 years, because it still works perfectly. We only bought a new leash because we finally have a boy dog, and didn't want him to get a complex with a pink leash. Ha! This one is going in the trash. :-(I love the chain attachment. I wish I had that with the other retractable leashes. It is definitely sturdier. I wish the leash itself was a bit longer than 16 ft.Great for dogs that chew through leashes.I feel the locking and unlocking mechanism could have been better made. It sometimes sticks and is not always the easiest to release or stop the leash. Otherwise very good product.I bought this March 2021. Looks great and seemed to work great. Handle is falling apart and stopped retracting and it’s not even a year old. I bought one from Harbor Freight cheaper and more durable. Too bad it was cute with a chain lead.The button to retract and lock the leash takes some getting used to but otherwise the leash is as expected. We like the metal chain at the bottom since our small terrier can't chew through it, as he has bitten through a few fabric leashes previously. The black connector that hooks up to the chain is already starting to fall apart, however.The chain part dragged on the ground. The leash easily tangled and is tough with a busy puppyWell, actually the leash is not chew proof. The chain that comes with the leash is what is chew proof, and it is separate in the box, not pre attached. Actually, just getting such a chain would be what one would usually need to make a leash chew proof. Good idea, but a bit sneaky. No matter, it works. My dog has go through two of this type of leash because if it accidentally got into his mouth, his instinct was naturally to chew and it doesn't take much for a dog, small or large, to bite thru it. Nothing like walking your dog with your retractable leash and you are suddenly holding only the leash and the dog is off and running!Easy to hold. Not fiddly to use.
