This Rogz 1" leash is excellent. We bought it to replace a 3/8" leash that our Black Lab puppy outgrew. We are really putting this leash to the test because while training, we are letting our dog drag this around so we can correct or corral her when needed. As a result, she chews and pulls this leash most of the day and it is still holding up very well despite her best attempts at liberating herself from the clutches of leashdom. We bought the purple and it is bright and the seams are reflective which works very well at night for safety on walks when shone upon by headlights. The latch is a shiny metal that has proven very durable as well. It is a six foot lead with a carry loop which is a good length for freedom during walks without too much lead.UPDATE 6/2017: After the leash training concluded, I bought a second of this same type for walks due to the fact that the training leash had been chewed and frayed in some spots; more so unsightly than non-working. Nonetheless, it is still a great leash and the hardware is very durable. I now use the older chewed leash as a six-foot extension to attach to the newer leash when I am working in the front yard and want to hang out with Shelby but give her some extra room to roam. This leash is really high quality as far as I am concerned. I have a 3 month old Siberian husky, had him ever since he was eight weeks old. He has been using this leash ever since. This leash is durable and works with small and assuming large dogs (I will know after he grows up). My pup has bitten this leash a fair amount. It has been washed in water several times. It has been ran through poop and piss and all sorts of dirty objects, yet still after giving it a good rinse/wash, the leash is still in good quality. The leashes reflectiveness is visible in the dark when cars flash by, so it does its purpose.I would recommend this product to any dog owner looking for a good quality leash. I love the blue color, it stands out and is visible to people, letting them know that the husky is here! The weight is pretty light. The only heavy part of it is the metal hook that goes on the collar. The handle is a good size, I am able to even wrap my poop bags within the loop while wrapping it around my hand and wrist.I really wanted to like this more. I got it to upgrade from the cheap one I had from a local store because I wanted something safer and better looking for my dog that was a decent quality also.Well when I first got it the first thing I noticed was "Wow, this feels very thin and flimsy". Now technically this might not be a con because it could be a stronger fabric etc. so I decided to keep it.After a few months now it's all frayed on the edges and sides and I take good care of it and don't let it drag, store it in a safe places etc.It also was really not reflective on the stitches like advertised. My street isn't lit well and I walk my dog late a lot as she like it because it's cooler (Akita). So I wanted to have some extra viability for cars etc. to see me.Anyway, I more purchased this for the quality and size though not so much the reflector part.Overall sadly the cheap one I have from a regular non-pet store is a year older and in better condition. This leash (like the Rogz collar) is durable and rugged. I really like the reflective stitching ; it works really well. When we are on our night walks, the leash (and collar) catch the headlights of passing cars and really `light' up so that we are even more visible. She has had it since Oct 2011 and it is a little dirty, but it is not frayed at all.I bought the 1-inch leash. It seemed a little big when my pup (pit bull mix) was 6mos old, but she grew into it. I think the 6 foot length is easier to work with because you can do some training with it and tie a knot in it to shorten the leash if necessary. I do wish it had another handle close to the clasp, but it doesn't! Still like it!Really quickly, the color... pink is not too pale and not too bright. It pops a little so that it's noticeable, but not an overwhelming pink color.I had this less than 2 months before my dog (80 lb. lab/hound mix) bit through it, it looks like it was cut with a pair of scissors. I'm disappointed, as I did like the leash, while it lasted. He was left alone with it for about 10 minutes when he managed to completely tear it apart. If I get another similar one in the future, I'll have to be more careful, but I think something thicker is needed. It's very lightweight, and as others have mentioned, it is only reflective on one side. It's not a bad leash, but if you have a big dog who pulls at all, you might want to have something that is more substantial. If you have a smaller dog, a dog who is very easy on the leash and does not ever chew on a leash, this may be a 5 star purchase. As for me, as much as I'd like to give more than 3 stars, I can't because mine currently sits in two sad pieces barely past the return date.We have always ordered Kong leashes. I decided to try the Rogz Utility Extra Large 1-inch Reflective Leash. I am extremely happy with this product. The coloring is beautiful and the reflective strips are well sewn. The buckles are heavy duty and the handle is comfortable in my hand. The product description was perfect. I highly recommend the Rogz products to anyone that has dogs or any other pets. They have many color and length options to choose from. Since ordering this product, we have already ordered four more for our other dogs. Also check out their dog collars, some having reflective strips in them.Love the rogz leadsWhen I first received this leash, I thought it was fantastic. The nylon webbing is thick, and the stitching is well done with double or cross-stitching where it makes sense to be. However, after using the leash for a while, my enthusiasm for it has decreased. What I'm finding is that the edges of the leash seem to fray from rubbing. The fraying is comprised of small fibers but it really makes the leash begin to look a little ratty. The stitching, however, continues to hold as one would expect. I'll continue using this leash until I find one that doesn't look like it will fray.My dog is a puller. She yanks me about when we go for "walks" or more appropriately, drags. This lead is strong, can clearly be seen from far away, and bright hunter's orange. Great for our country roads during deer hunting season. But what I LOVE is the 6 foot length and the strength of this lead. I can snap it onto her regular collar, loop it around her belly and still have a comfortable amount of lead left to walk her. By looping it around her belly, every time she bolts, it tightens, thus giving her a surprise squeeze. Does not hurt her at all, but like most dogs, she does not like that surprise sensation. Fantastic for me! No more being dragged through brambles! We have two chocolate labs (100 lbs and 80 lbs), and needed new leashes. These ones are strong enough to manage the dogs (squirrell!) when they suddenly decide to (oh, look, another dog!) to change direction. The length is sufficient to let them do their thing (check out this fire hydrant!), without letting them get too far away. The leashes are low tech, just well made and good for the purpose. The lobster clasp works easily when attaching ("Sit, Lucy. SIT!") to their collars, which can be tricky when they're so excited to go walkies. We attach a container of doggie bags to the handle, and off we go.It’s been quite awhile since I bought this and we are still using this same leash for my dog. Lost his previous leash about the two years ago and this is used all the time, camping, gets wet often, and while a bit colour worn the thing is perfect.
