this is a great leash...not for a small weak dog. exceptional leather and the secondary hand loop is is 13 inches from where the leash hooks on. not too high, not too low. i have a 42 pound dog that is very strong and this leash i bought is the 6 ft. model so she has a little room to sniff around. all in all she walks nice but not perfect. i had bought a leash like this one about a year ago, but my complaint was that the second hand loop was only about 3 inches from where it attaches to collar or whatever u use. i had to bend way over to use it. this is expensive but great quality and should last a very long time. i love it when i order something and it is what is claims or even better. i like this leash and although a little heavy, my dog likes it too. i would recommend for strong dog. i hardly ever give five stars. thanks !
